FINGER-PRINTING

Important Note on Fingerprinting for Visa Applications

With the introduction of biometric visas, fingerprints are now required. Therefore, starting from 12.01.2021, each applicant must appear in person at the Visa Center. The submission of fingerprints is valid for 5 years, provided that subsequent applications are made with the same passport.

CVISA can manage subsequent visa applications within this 5-year period.

At the time of application, CVISA can meet applicants at the Visa Center, ensuring that only the fingerprints need to be submitted by the applicants. We will handle the rest of the process (see the Guideline).

IMPORTANT CHANGES

Many short-term activities that could previously be carried out with a business travel visa (type M) now require a work visa (type Z) after obtaining a work permit.

This includes, for example:

  • Research activities

  • Sports training stays

  • Participation in fashion shows/modeling

  • Filming - even if the stay lasts less than 90 days

  • Assembly and service work on approved systems

  • Construction site supervision

  • Secondment of employees to subsidiaries/representative offices

  • Volunteer work or unpaid activities for stays of 90 days or more

Consult your employer or contact person in China to apply for the correct visa category.
